Q: How can I determine the number of plates in each HydroTube model?

A: The HydroTube model # legend: HT##-####

Example: HT5-804

HT = HydroTube,

5, 10, or 50 = # of Stacks,

6,8, or 10 = Diameter of the HydroTube,

04,06,08,10,12,14,16,18, or 20 = # of plates per stack.

To determine the # of plates in any model HydroTube, multiply the # of Stacks by the # of plates per stack.

Therefore. the HT5-804 is 8" in diameter and has 20 plates (5x4). The HT50-820 is 8" in diameter and has 1000 plates (50x20).

Q. Is the HydroTube made with high quality materials?

A: HydroTube is made with the highest quality, precision cut, materials that have been tested and re-tested to ensure durability and reliability.

Gaskets and other integral components are made from the very highest quality and strength commercial grade Neoprene specifically selected after years of environmental testing to withstand extended use under a wide variety of temperature conditions.

Gas separation mebranes are made of a semi-permeable, ultra-micro porous plastic material that provides excellent gas separation and will last the lifetime of the cell when the cell is installed and operated per Hybrid Hydrotech's instructions.

All plates are made from 316L stainless steel that will not corrode. For customers requiring efficiency levels higher than 70%, Nickel/Nickel alloy plates are available upon request.

**What is the recommended DC Voltage and Amperage that the HydroTube (P) should operate at?**

**A:**Hybrid Hydrotech recommends that the HydroTube (P) be

**operated**at 295 watts/liter/minute of H

^{2}gas.

The HydroTube (P) recommended wattage can be achieved in any combination of voltage, within the voltage range of model series being operated, (12-14 volts, 24-28 volts, or 120 volts) and an Amperage that equals 295 watts/liter/minute of H

^{2}gas.

For Example: Model# HT5-804 (P) is designed to operate between 12v -14v DC. it is designed to generate 1.7 lpm of H

^{2}gas at Hybrid Hydrotech's recommended power consumption of 295 watts/liter/minute of H

^{2}. The general formula to determine the recommended operating amperage at any voltage within 12v - 14v is: Model # lpm of H

^{2}* 295 / voltage = Operating Amps

At 12 volts the Amperage would be: 1.7 lpm * 295 watts / 12 volts = 41.8 amps

At 14 volts the Amperage would be: 1.7 lpm * 295 watts / 14 volts = 35.8 amps

At 13.5 volts the Amperage would be: 1.7 lpm * 295 watts / 13.5 volts = 37.1 amps

To determine the kWh that a specific Model HydroTube will

**consume**over an hour, multiply the Model # H

^{2}lpm as listed in the Price and Performance section of our web * 0.295 kWh. The general formula is: Model # lpm of H

^{2}* 0.295 = Energy consumption per hour in kWh

For Example: The HT5-804 (P) produces 1.7 lpm of H

^{2}gas when operated at Hybrid Hydrotech's recommended wattage of 295 watts/liter/minute .Therefore the total kWh consumed over 60 minutes will be: 1.7 * 0.295 = 0.5 kWh of electricity.

Q:

**What is the normal gas output pressure of a HydroTube?**

**A:**This will vary depending on the amount of gas being generated and the inner diameter of the gas discharge outlet. The larger the gas volume and the smaller the inner diameter of the discharge outlet, the higher the output pressure. Conversly, the larger the inner diameter of the discharge outlet and the lower the gas volume, the lower the gas output pressure. Each customer's operation will determinethe actual gas output presure, however the HydroTube is intended to operate between 2 psi to 15 psi depending on the model.

Q: What is the maximum internal pressure
HydroTube will sustain?

**A:** Hybrid Hydrotech has not tested the maximum pressure limits of
what the HydroTube can withstand. The cell is not intended to be
pressurized beyond the pressure developed within the cell during the
generation of gas. If a user permits the cell or tanks to build up
pressure beyond what is normally created during the generation of
on-demand gas, Hybrid Hydrotech considers this approach to
compressing and/or storage of gas as unauthorized and can be
dangerous.

Q: Why should a water bubbler be used to
cleanse H2 and O2 gas of trace amounts of KOH particles?

**A: Depending upon the output
temperature of the gas, very small amounts of KOH can cling to the
moisure content in the H2 and O2 gas produced by the HydroTube. This
is normal. We recommend that it be removed from the gas stream
before use. KOH is a very caustic chemical and can pit, or in high
concentrations corrode, certain metals especially aliminum. **
